| I love cropping photos in oval shapes. And yet, being tied down to the
predetermined and limited sizes of a stencil is frustrating! But now there are several
oval cutters on the market. Shaping Memories is a company which produces one of
those oval cutters. The Oval Cropper from Shaping Memories has a new molded version that
is very easy to use. First, use the clear plastic cutting guide that comes with it to
determine the size of oval you want. The guide has numbers on it that match numbers
on the cropper. Simply, adjust the knob on the cutter so that an arrow lines up with
the number of the size you want your oval to be. Place the guide on your photo in the
desired position. Place the cropper in the middle of the guide and remove the guide.
Now turn the knob and presto! You have a fabulous oval!
We found that the Oval Cropper doesn't require a lot of pressure to cut a clean oval.
The Oval Cropper also has nice padded grippers on the bottom so that the picture is not
damaged, but it holds the cropper in place while you cut the oval. |
