Accordion Scrapbooks
Heres a wonderful little mini-scrapbooking project for you or your children!
Its a mini-scrapbook, only 4 pages long, that folds up into a little book accordion
style! These accordion scrapbooks are perfect gifts for grandparents, special friends,
Fathers Day gifts etc. These are loads of fun to make. But heres a
warning
.once you make one, you wont be able to stop!
You Need :
- 2 6x6 inch squares of background and texture paper
- 2 5x5 inch squares of cardstock
- 2 4-3/4x12 inch strips of cardstock
- ribbon if desired
- stamps or other embellishments
How To :
- "Wrap" each of the 5 inch squares of cardstock with the background and texture
paper, as if it were a present. These are your front and back covers.
- Take your 2 long strips of cardstock and glue them together, overlapping them by ½
inch. Now you have 1 long strip. Fold this strip on the seam where the 2 pieces are
joined.
- From the fold, mark 4-3/4inches from the fold and crease at this point. Do this on the
other side of the fold as well.
- Now, just trim off the excess paper to make the pages even. Youre done making the
pages!
- Glue the front and back covers on to the inside pages. If you would like to add ribbon,
glue the ribbon on the back cover before attaching the pages. Tie it in front to keep the
book closed.
- Stamp on the inside to decorate. Add pictures and journaling and youre done!
Isnt it simple? Here is a picture of a completed accordion scrapbook, minus the
stamping in it since I cant scan stamped images. Add stamped images to spice it up!
Have fun making your own accordion scrapbooks!
