B is for Birthday

Supplies:

B1226 Solo "B"
C1257 Happy Birthday
Sonata Paper Packet
Chocolate and Lilac Mist ink pads
Chocolate eyelets
Natural Hemp

Directions:

1. Layer a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Lilac Mist cardstock on a standard size card. Cut a piece of striped Sonata paper that is 4 x 5 1/4". Fold down the top left corner about 1 inch, toward the front, so the contrasting color on the back of the paper shows. Attach a square of Chocolate cardstock into the now empty corner. Attach the flap down with a Chocolate eyelet. Attach the layer onto the card front.

2. Stamp a "B" in Lilac Mist ink on a scrap of paper and cut out. Tie 2 small ties of hemp on the top of the "B." Attach it to a piece of the striped paper (flip it over to the backside -- you gotta love the contrasting dual-sided background papers!).

3. Stamp "Happy Birthday" in Chocolate ink along the side of the "B." Attach it to a larger piece of Chocolate cardstock.

4. Sand distress a 3/4" strip of Chocolate cardstock. Attach it to the lower part of the card. Adhere the mounted "B" piece on top of the strip, towards the right side and you're done!
