Crinkle Technique

Solid stamps are so quick and easy to use. Sometimes you may want to spice them up by adding texture to them. The crinkle technique is one way to do that. The crinkle texture on the hearts in the card below was created in this fun and easy way. Here's how:

1. Wrinkle up a piece of paper into a ball. Straighten it out and wrinkle it again. Straighten it. The paper will now be nice and wrinkly.

2. Ink up your solid stamp. Lightly stamp it on the wrinkled paper. If you look at the rubber now you can see that some of the ink has come off where the wrinkles were.

3. Now, stamp on your card or project without re-inking it again. You will get a fun crinkle texture on the stamped image with light and dark areas. That’s all there is to it! It’s fun, fast and so easy to do. Try it with any solid stamp for a fun look.
