Becoming a Close to My Heart Consultant
Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about getting
started as a Close to My Heart® consultant.
- How do I sign up? You must sign up through another
consultant. This consultant is your "upline" and helps you with training,
learning techniques and provides any support you need so make sure you choose a good
upline! When you are ready, you can even sign up and do all the paperwork
online at www.tracy.myctmh.com
- Why should I choose you as an upline when you live far away? I
love stamping and I absolutely love sharing this passion with others. I am dedicated to
helping all of my downlines with whatever they need, whenever they need it. I have several
remote downlines, so you would not be alone. We swap cards, have monthly online unit
meetings, have a quarterly newsletter filled with card ideas, sales ideas and helps etc.,
and we keep in close contact via email and the phone. We have become instant friends and
have fun sharing our stamping hobby. Deciding if you want to find an upline that lives
close by you or an internet friend like me is a personal choice. Choose what you feel most

- How many home demonstrations are required to remain an active consultant?
There is no number of required demonstrations to remain an active consultant, only a
$300 in sales per quarter minimum. This sales minimum is not hard to achieve since even
your own personal purchases can count towards this sales minimum.
- What kind of discount does a consultant get? With Close to My Heart you
receive a great discount on all stamps and products you purchase for yourself. Email me
for up-to-date specifics about our current compensation plan.
- How much does it cost to get started? Close to My Heart currently
has a great program for becoming a consultant. The new kits only costs $99 and contains
over $300 worth of materials, including catalogs, paper work, stamps, inks, My Reflections kits, and much, much
more! Close to My Heart® also has a
program called "Straight to the Top" where you can earn free stamps as you kick

- How long does it take to get my kit? Currently it takes about
1-2 weeks to receive all of your materials.
- Can a consultant host her own parties? No. A consultant can
not be the hostess at her own party. However, a consultant can hold a workshop and
have a let guests have a drawing for the hostess gifts.
- Would I be an employee of Close to My Heart? No. You would
be an independent contractor and not an employee. You are responsible for paying your
own self-employment taxes. You can make your own hours and be as flexible as you
- What other benefits are there in joining Close to My Heart? Close
to My Heart is a great company to work for. They have great products which really
sell themselves. Close to My Heart covers the hostess gifts, does not require you to
maintain an inventory of products, allows you to sell anywhere in the country, and really
