Gift Boxes
Now you can make your own beautiful gift boxes. And all you need is 2 sheets of 8
1/2x11 cardstock! These are so fun to do. You will be looking for reasons to make these
cute boxes! Here is the pattern and directions.
- Stamp all over one piece of 8 1/2x11 cardstock . Any stamp that
fits the occasion works great! This will be the top piece of the box.
- Now make the bottom portion of the box. On the plain piece of cardstock,
score a line 2 1/8 inch from the long edge of the cardstock on each long side. On the
short sides, score a line 2 ¾ inches from the edge. Refer to the picture above to get a
visual idea.
- Cut along the scored line from the short side of the cardstock to where
the lines meet. This creates "tabs."
- Now fold the middle tabs together and attach the sides. The side edge
will be longer than the tabs. Fold that piece over the tabs towards the inside of the box
and attach. This helps the box have strength. That’s the bottom of the box!
- Repeat box directions above using the stamped cardstock, except adjust
the cut and score lines slightly outward away from the center to make the lid a bit bigger. I score at 2 inches and 2 5/8 inches. That’s it! Now just fill it with little treats and
you’re done!
