Embossed Tag
This
card is made using the Vellum Overlay layout from Originals II.
Supplies:
Tinted embossing pad
Silver embossing powder
S559 Loves Me, Loves Me Not
Vellum
Silver brads
Wildberry cardstock and patterned paper
Directions:
1. Start with a 8x 3 1/2" card made from Wildberry cardstock. Layer on the card
front a piece of Wildberry patterned paper 7 1/2x3" in size.
2. Using the template in the Originals II guide, cut a piece of vellum and attach it to
the card front with a brad on each end.
3. Create the embossed tag for the focal point. Here's how: press a square of cardstock
on the tinted embossing pad to cover the whole piece with ink. Cover with embossing
powder, shake off excess, and heat. After it melts, immediately cover it in another
coating of embossing, shake of excess and heat again. Repeat this process until you have
about 3-4 layers of embossing on the cardstock. I like to hold the cardstock with some
tweezers while completing this process. After the last time heated, immediately press an
uninked stamp onto the embossed cardstock. This will not hurt the stamp. Leave the stamp
in place. After it has cooled for a minute or two, lift off the stamp and you have a
beautifully embossed decorative piece! |
