Pencil Topper Pattern

My first project is a fun pencil topper that kids will love. You can also use the template to make your own personalized candles on a birthday cake!

  1. Trace the pattern found here. I like to trace it onto heavy cardstock or plastic.   X-Ray film works great too!

  2. Cut out the topper.
  3. Now, stamp,color, and cut 2 images that fit your "theme."
  4. Thread the pencil topper onto the pencil by overlapping to two flaps at the bottom. Adhere your stamped images on each of the flat sides to decorate the topper. Presto! It's a fun treat for Valentine's Day or a favor for any party.
  5. For a candle on a birthday cake, follow the same directions, but thread the topper onto candles and put it on the top of your cake!
