Tag Boxes
There are so many uses for a cute box. And this tag box is no exception! This
adorable tag box is easy to make and has so many uses! They are perfect for small gifts
like jewelry. You can put a treat inside for any special occasion. They are a
beautiful touch on a holiday place setting. The list could go on and on. But let's get to
how to make these simple tag boxes.
Supplies:
Cardstock
Tag stencil
Stamps
Ribbon, jute etc.

Directions:
- Trace the inner edge of one of the tags from the tag stencil. Cut out and stamp as
desired. Make 2 tags like this - one for the back and one for the front. This example was
stamped with the random leaf stamp from the Autumn Scarecrow set (p. 33 in the current
catalog) and colored in with marker. It was also speckled and ink sponged around the edge.
- Trace the outer edge of the tag on the stencil to create a mat.
- For the base of the box, take a 3 x 5 inch piece of cardstock. Score 1 1/2 inches in
from each end from the short sides. Score 1 inch in from each side on the long sides. Cut
along the score lines on one side until you meet where the lines intersect (see pattern).
Fold the box up and glue the folded ends together.
- Now attach the tags to 2 sides of the box. Punch a hole at the top and tie together with
ribbon, jute etc. That's it! They make fabulous party favors, treats for a dinner party
place setting etc. Enjoy!
